INTERVIEW WITH PIERRE RISCH -
LM :
So Mr Risch, an exhibition ”Swingstreet” on Spring,
an exhibition “Born to Swing” in Fall of 2016,
At the heart of Saint Germain des Prés, in the mythical street of Seine, it resounds of burst of Jazz Isn’t it?
PR :
Of course but fortunately not only, it is vaster, it is also Rock, Rap, Hip Hop, Cabaret, Dance,
Body movement, human mechanics, societal mechanics….
The Human being with its complexity, its paradoxes fascinates me, under make up, sequins, attitudes, there is always a story, a soul, a real person …
You see it is less restrictive than the subject seems, if you would like to dig a little.
LM :
For those who know you and collect your Art since now more than a fifty years old,
For art lovers who will discover you, you transmit the picture of Feast, Happiness through
human beings, Is that still the case here in your latest creations while we are facing a dark time?
PR :
More than ever, the act of creation is absolutely necessary for our integrity and that of our civilization.
The Beauty and art are indispensable to the well-being of our contemporaries,
Happiness is inseparable from the Human being. Do you remember the title of my exhibition in 2009,
“From shadow to light”, there can’t be shadow without light, there always light…
However it is not mandatory to present Art only by a small part of the focus
transgression – perversion – regression – nihilism -
As I am a naturel rather grinning, I will still not bully me and mistreat those who come to see my exhibitions by presenting a work that “make the mouth” on the grounds that it makes trend.
True to myself, my creations remain impertinent, joyful and profound.
This is my positive contribution to our time!
LM :
Sculpture, we want to hear! We discover a new facet of the Artist.
PR :
Yes indeed i have worked the last two years to create a collection of original sculptures, unique piece, not editions with unknown number as often seen…
I much prefer a veritable artistic commitment, it is in ma nature.
After Watercolor, Pastel, Painting I couldn’t resist the urge to get back to sculpture,
as you know me, I can’t resist to work in various technic of art because I am constantly bubbling with new ideas and desire to unborn them.
LM :
What energy Mr Risch, you have piqued up our curiosity, we can’t wait to discover very soon your new sculptures in company of your paintings.
Maybe a final word for now?
PR :
I really hope to surprise you a long time!
